Somuthing on heart rate?

Can some on tell me if there is a unit of measurement for heart rate (e.i..,distance= mile, yards, ect.)

Also, comemnt on anything interesting you might know, or may come across, about heart rate and the factors that influence it.

(If you can reffer me to any good (REliABLE) sources I would greatly appreciate it)

Somuthing on heart rate?

Heart rate is beats per minute. An infants is 80-140 a child 60-100, an adult 50-80. Factors that affect heart rate vary, exercise speeds up the heart rate, vagal maneuvers, straining for a bowel movement or lifting something heavy can slow down the heart rate. Caffeine will speed up the heart rate, while in deep sleep it can drop dramatically. An athlete%26#039;s heart rate is usually slower, the heart is stronger and does not need to beat as fast to push blood through the body. Someone in poor physical health especially with a large mushy heart, their heart beats faster to because the muscle cannot push enough blood to the body. This is called a decreased ejection fraction. An elephants heart beats 2-4 times per minute while a birds beast 200+. Any medical web site can answer those questions.

Heart rate is measured as beats per minute. Heart rate is altered by any of a number of things ranging from the normal (exercise) to the pathological (arrhythmias).
