im not a finacial guru by any means, but, if a flat sales tax rate was implemented (say 23%, rather than the average 7%) rather than taxing income, what would the ramifications be?

would our businesses be able to flourish without the burden of corporate taxes, and the ability to write off almost all expenses tax exempt?

or would the working class suffer as a result of higher prices (keep in mind that your paycheck would be 25% bigger)?

or would the government be crippled by the possibility of less income from taxes?

would the stock market skyrocket along with interest rates? or vice versa?

Flat taxes are regressive and are a bad idea. People living at the federal poverty level generally need to spend their whole check (even if they%26#039;re making 25% more), which means the entirety of their income is taxed. So the poor still get the entirety of their income taxed, while the rich who do not have to live check-to-check don%26#039;t experience those ramifications.

Businesses--because they bring in so much money they might experience a few gains since their whole income would no longer be taxed, but without corporate loopholes from the federal government they might lose out, which would cripple the stock markets.

Well with a 23% sales tax I for one would not be buying. North Pole Alaska has a city tax of 1%, so for the principle of it I stopped buy things (Namely Gas) in their town when I live in Fairbanks Alaska. Now I legally have to pay about 23% in income taxes (I can not legally get out of it.) but if a sales tax (only: it will never happen instead we would end up paying both sales and income taxes.) was the only tax I would buy allot less than I currently do and beat the taxes. If you put into an IRA the government taxes your income at 23% (Differed or now) and than if you die before you spend it they take an additional 50-60%. That%26#039;s why I don%26#039;t save; I spend it all while I can. This is why I hate liberalism and tend to look down on democracy. Hell even Plato (The Republic) said that democracy degenerated into the idle mob voting to take the hard earned gains away from the productive. (Some things never change.)

I have a second attempt at a medical for the Police Cadets.

I failed first time (last week) because the doctor said it appeared I had a heart murmur but I had a private hospital appointment (for quickness) and I am fine.

On my first visit. I drank redbull (in the car park outside the police recruitment center). I was also under pressure and nervous as I knew after all the months of home interviews, formal panels.. blah blah.. it all depended on this medical if I got the job.

My initial heart rate was 93bpm resting.

(the night before that, I personally messured it [with hand on my heart and a timer basically] and got 65bpm.)

From the ground up - my medical is in a week and I want to make sure my heart rate is satisfactory for the reading.

Should I drink lots of water and eat lots of -- starting from now till then?

Should I eat lots of --- the night before?

Should I hold my breath during the reading or take big deep breaths? (to make my heart rate low)

What you need to do is, don%26#039;t drink or eat anything that will raise you heart rate or blood pressure. Cut down ( or eliminate) salt, or foods that have alot of sodium in them.

Cut down on the carbs, caffeine, sugar, or any other stimulant type foods.

Try meditating. I know it sounds extreme, but it will lower your BP. Try sitting in a room, no tv, no radio, no video games, etc. Close your eyes and think of a situation that is very calming. Whether it be the beach, ocean, or what ever calms you down.

That should do it.

I honestly think the only reason your heart rate was up was because of the red bull.

Stay away from it. It%26#039;s bad for you.

For example if you eat a Poppy seed muffin, it will show traces of opiates in your system. Opiates the trace element in cocaine. Also before your medical exam, try to think pleasant calming thoughts while taking a few slow deep breaths. This will help calm your nerves. When people are nervous their heart rate will go up.. Lay of the caffeine as much as a possible since not only is a diuretic but also a stimulant. Fruit juice, water, fruits, vegetables, low carbohydrates will help with the heart plus your health in general. The night before the exam, no strenuous physical activity. Take a nice relaxing night at home.

First and easiest is to eliminate any caffeinated drinks...like Coffee, Regular Soda, Red Bull, etc. (They are considered a artificial %26quot;stimulus%26quot; for the body.) Instead substitute for what your body was designed for...water. Sugar Foods will give you a short burst of energy then a crash so I would avoid candies and sweets before you go in. Get at least 8 solid hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. If you have been drinking Red Bull or caffeine on a daily basis... if possible (since I don%26#039;t want you to experience the withdrawal effects of headaches etc) Decrease these drinks over a couple of days (start drinking water also) then after that, just drink water.

Since it is so important to you to get into the Police Cadets your naturally going to feel a little nervous when going in which is normal. Everyone experiences this. On the night before make sure you get a good 8 hours sleep, the on day of your exam, eat a light meal and drink water. Listen to relaxing, calm music as you drive to your medical exam to help keep you from getting yourself worked up with anxiety. As you drive there and when your waiting to get your exam to help physically relax your body, take a gradual deep breath in your nose (mouth closed) then open your mouth and exhale slowly. Repeat 2 or 3 times in a slow relaxing manner.

A friend of mine had a habit of drinking Red Bull and complained of chest pain shortly after he would drink it. This didn%26#039;t start immediately from his first drink but shortly thereafter he developed these symptoms. He was young and had no known diseases and wasn%26#039;t taking medications. It was suggested that he stop drinking it and see if he continued to have this feeling in his chest. ...it did and he has stopped drinking it ever since.

As a police officer you want to be at the top of your game. You need to have your body in shape and your mind as well. Regular proper exercise, healthy diet low in fat (and that means avoiding %26quot;fried%26quot; things as well) and stick with drinking water.

You need strength, (wrestle those bad guys to the ground and cuff them!) endurance training (you want to be faster then them right?!), quick thinking, and quick reflexes...naturally the academy will teach you all this and more. (Weaponry, tactics, reading body language, etc)

All these things I mention will help you with a healthy life style (Just a side thought, I would have the heart %26quot;murmur%26quot; investigated further...I hope it was due to the stimulus drinks...which now I%26#039;m sure you will replace with water. ;-) Either way, I would go back and have it checked out. It may be nothing, but I would want to know.)

I also have a heart murmur,I was born with it and I%26#039;m now 43,sometimes children can grow out of having a heart murmur by the time they are teenagers,but I was told last year by the heart specialist that if you go into adulthood with a murmur its unlikely it will go away,although can sometimes be undetected at certain times in routine examinations.

I certainly wouldnt be drinking red bull prior to going in,all you need do is try and relax,get plenty of sleep,eat healthily leading up to your medical,if they %26quot;again%26quot; detect a heart murmur,get your GP to arrange a scan for you and then try move on with your life.

Yep, this can get a little tricky every now and then, but this should help you.

Soln:

k1=1.35 x 10^4

K2= find

Ea= 57.2KJ/mol

T1=286.5K

T2=288.5K

Formula: ln K2/K1 = -Ea/R (1/T2 - 1/T1)

ln K2/1.35 x 10^4 = (-57.2KJ/mol)/(8.314J/mol.k)((1/288.5K - 1/286.5K))(10^3J/1KJ)

ln k2/1.35 x 10^4 = 0.16647

K2= (1.35 x 10^4)( e^0.16647)

K2=(1.35 x 10^4)(1.181128)

Therefore K2= 15945.2 or 1.595 x 10^4 as Answer.

The trick is to change that ln into e, which is just a natural log.

Ill try to help you out with my movesets...people seem to like em..:D....yours arent bad too....Read all of this and youll understand...i know its big...:D

Electricvire...Lonely is the right nature for it...good job!! Max out its speed and attack ev%26#039;s!!

I dont know a good moveset for electrivire as i havent done much research on it and i dont have diamond/pearl...but ur movesets seems cool as it covers all of elctrivires weaknesses...

Gallade: It has great attack and average speed to work with...BAse attack is 125 and base speed is 80....it also has average defenses and a good special defense to atleast survive one powerful attack in case it doesnt hit first...

1. Close Combat(we need to hit hard so we dont need to worry abt losing our defesnes now ;)..plus it takes care of dark types and gains boost from STAB)

2.Night Slash(for ghost and psychics)

3.Stone edge(to take care of flying types)

4.Bulk Up/Swords Dance(to boost its already impressive attack)

Nature Adamant.!! Max out gallades attack and speed.

Togekiss: a nice defensive dude with great SP.attack being 120 at base!!

It doesnt have many special attacks so its best used as a tank..

Max out its hp so that it can recover more hp from roost...max out its special defense or defense too...thunder wave is to slow down opponents and give togekiss a free turn...

Nature should be..Bold/Calm

Blissey!! : a born tank...max out its hp and Special defense and your ready to go...

your moveset is good except that aroma therapy should be replaced by psychic or substitute so that blissey can take out fighting pokemon and its special attack gives it the potential to do so...

Nature should be...Calm...

Weaville....dont know much abt this but your moveset seems good as it takes care of fighting types that are a threat to weaville but i should recommend stone edge to take care of fire types....remove ice punch...you dont need it...

Garchomp....i know you got your moveset form serebii and ill say thats its good...you can also use outrage instead of dragon claw and equip your garchomp witha chesto berry so that when it is confues it can be healed without losing a turn..outrage has more power too...
